Step 1: Open the Fog Tool

On the Tabletop screen, click Fog Tool in the toolbar. The fog bar opens above it.

The bar contains a row of shape tools, followed by controls for colour, opacity and line thickness. Buttons to cover or clear the whole scene sit at the end of the bar.

Step 2: Draw fog over the area you want to hide

Select a shape from the fog bar, such as Circle. Drag on the map to draw fog over the area you want to hide.

As GM you see the fogged area as a shaded region. Your players see it as solid cover.

Step 3: Open Wall Tools and choose Wall Mode

Click Wall Tools in the toolbar. The wall bar opens with three modes:

  • Wall Mode
  • Door Mode
  • Roof Mode

Select Wall Mode to draw walls.

Step 4: Draw a wall on the map

With the wall line tool active, click the map to place each corner of the wall. Double-click to finish the wall segment.

The finished wall appears on the map and will block sight once dynamic lighting is on.

Step 5: Switch on dynamic lighting

Click Lighting Tools in the toolbar, then click Dynamic Lighting On/Off to enable dynamic lighting. The scene darkens.

Step 6: Place a light source on the map

In the Lighting Mode options, select Point Light. Click on the map to place the light.

Drag as you place it to set the radius of the light. Walls you drew earlier will block the light, casting shadows beyond them.
