Send a Message to a Friend

Step 1: Open the messenger and select a conversation
Click the messenger icon in the navbar (badge 1) to open your conversation list.
Each row is a direct chat or group. Find your friend's name and click their row to open the conversation.
Step 2: Check the chat header to confirm the right conversation
The chat panel opens with a header (badge 2) showing your friend's name and avatar.
Click their name in the header to view their full profile. When you are ready to write, move on to the next step.
Step 3: Type your message in the composer
Click inside the message input field (badge 3) and type your message.
The composer supports Markdown shortcuts: wrap text in ** for bold, * for italic, and ~~ for strikethrough. Use the toolbar above the input to insert emoji or GIFs.
Step 4: Click Send to deliver your message
Click the Send button (badge 4) to deliver your message.
Your friend receives a notification and the message appears in their messenger right away.
